Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

The release of MOSS 2007 is just around the corner.  If you haven't started looking at the new version of SharePoint yet then you're in for a big surprise.  This version of SharePoint will revolutionize not only the portal space but web development in general.  The addition of the free SharePoint Services Version 3 to the ASP.NET 2.0 web platform will create the richest development canvas for collaborative applications in the industry.  Check out http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/servers/default.mspx for more information on Office SharePoint Server.

If you haven’t downloaded the Beta 2 build of Visual Studio 2005 then you’re missing out on the best bits coming out of Redmond in the last 10 years.  I’ve worked with the VS 2k5 release since the alpha phase and I’m amazed at all the functionality that made the Beta 2 feature set.  If you want to learn more then you should investigate the regional DevCon events that Microsoft is holding (http://www.chrysalisevents.com/vs2005devcon).  They’re well worth your investment in time and money.

I’ll be speaking at the Detroit and Columbus events on VSTS and the entire suite (respectively).  I look forward to seeing you there.
